Councilman Jeff Minchuk
Jeff Minchuk for Merrillville Town Council Ward 3
Public Service, not Self Service
Growing up in this town is a part of my life I will never forget, but we need more opportunities for our children. The Dean and Barbara White Community Center was a huge step in this direction. They offer sports, education and arts programs. I look forward to Merrillville being a future home for the Boys & Girls Club. We need to show our children that their futures are full of promise. One of the biggest accomplishments in this town’s history was the Community Center built right here in our own ward. It offers free gym membership to our residents and most of all, a place for our children to learn and shine.
Public safety is also close to my heart: Our police and fire services are top-notch, but we need more of them as this town continues to grow.

As a union member, I wholeheartedly support local union labor. I believe that keeping the men and women working on our surrounding development projects is vital.
I would like to thank you for allowing me to be your Town Council representative for the past six years, and I hope you'll support me in this election. I make one promise: I will do what’s best for this town and it’s future!

In the last few years, the council has made significant FORWARD PROGRESS! Let's keep it going!
My Focus Points for our Future
-
Enabling brighter children's futures by continuing to provide opportunities for our children to learn and play.
-
Investigate new funding sources to increase our Public Safety workforce.
-
Continue working with developers for future development to provide jobs and revenue in our hometown.
-
Enhance our Police Department by adding new technological policing methods like our recently purchased and installed License Plate Readers.
-
Most importantly, continue our FORWARD PROGRESS throughout the entire Town of Merrillville
